The 416 on Lake Hamilton is designed for the people you most want to spend a few days with. Multi-generational trips, college-friend reunions, family weeks that roll over from one set of relatives to the next, the home has room for it all. Two levels mean there is always somewhere to read a book, somewhere to play a game, and somewhere to nap when the lake has worn the kids out.
Mornings start slowly. Coffee by the picture windows, sun on the dock, kids easing out of pajamas. Afternoons run on lake time, swimming, kayaking, drying off on the boardwalk, then drifting up to the deck for lunch. Evenings tend to settle around the kitchen and the fire pit. The open-format kitchen, dining area, sunroom, and living room let whoever is cooking stay part of the conversation, which is how the best meals at The 416 tend to happen.
Hot Springs National Park, Oaklawn Park, Bathhouse Row are a short drive when you want a day off the lake, but most guests find that days here have a way of taking care of themselves.
Boardwalk for sunning, swim deck for dipping, kayaks ready on the lake & room to tie up your boat.
Family sized dining table inside or dine on the deck before marshmallows on the patio by the fire pit.
Dogwoods in spring, swimming in summer, leaves turning in fall, the lake still and quiet by the fireplace in winter.

Most downtown Hot Springs properties are a long drive from the lake. Most lake properties are a long drive from downtown. The 416 is close to both. From the front door, a grocery store and a movie theater are walking distance, and the marina is just down the road. From the back door, you're on Lake Hamilton. Central Avenue and the National Park are about ten minutes by car.
Hot Springs is one of the country's quirkier small cities. Hot Springs National Park's bathhouses, scenic trails, and overlooks are right downtown — most guests build in a day for a soak at Bathhouse Row and a wander down Central. Oaklawn Park, a few minutes up the road, is the area's biggest event venue — live thoroughbred racing in season, a casino year-round, and a steady calendar of concerts and shows. Garvan Woodland Gardens, tucked into the Ouachita foothills along the south end of the lake, is beautiful any season and lights up for a multi-week holiday display from late November through New Year's. The Mid-America Science Museum is the rainy-day-with-the-kids stop.
A quirky local note: professional baseball's spring training began here. Professional baseball’s spring training began here, and the Hot Springs Historic Baseball Trail marks the places where Babe Ruth, Cy Young, Honus Wagner, and others trained. And for the mountain-biking crowd, the Northwoods Trails — a thirty-one-plus-mile single-track system in the hills above town — have quietly turned Hot Springs into a destination ride.
And ask Bill about the wildflower trails. He leads hikes through our local Master Naturalists chapter and has opinions about which loop you should walk in which month.
